Carlotta Beam Smith

Carlotta Beam Smith, 74, passed away January 29, 2017 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House, Dallas.
Carlotta was born in Cleveland County, daughter of the late Jake Beverly and Margie Wehunt Beam. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Emmanuel Smith and great great nephew, Camron Mullinax. Carlotta was retired from Gaston County Social Services with 30 years of service and was a member of Fraley Memorial Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Shannon Bolynn and wife Tina, brother, Brad Beam, sisters, Darnell Spady, Belva Crowe, grandchildren, Haven and Heather Rudisill, great granddaughter, Ava Marie Still, step son, Butch Smith, step daughter, Vickie Arrington, 2 nieces, 3 nephews, 6 great nieces, 3 great great nieces, and 1 great great nephew.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 1, 2017, from 12:30 until 1:45 pm at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Founders Chapel with Dr. Warner Doles and Rev. Charles Keller officiating. Interment will follow in Gaston Memorial Park.
