Thanks to this site I learned of this news today, Saturday, in time to allow my thoughts to be with her family durning services.

Betty was my first crush in fifth grade in Mrs Foote's class in house near Methodist church.
We used to skate on concrete area in back of house durning recess.

She was my first date even before I had driver's license and we went to a movie.

Such fond memories of growing up with swell people in Gastonia.

For this occasion may I suggest a tune played by Adam Swanson, three time world champion Ragtime piano player.
visit: www.youtube.com
Search Adam Swanson,"Amoreuse"

It is a beautiful old waltz.
His Waiting for the Robert E Lee is more characteristic of his Ragtime style.

My heart felt condolences to the family.

Thanks again for this wonderful Ashley Class of '60 website.
