Memories Before High School (neighborhood, elementary & jr high, etc.):

Myrtle Elementary school, Central Elementary School, Wray Middle School, Grier Jr. High School
St. Michaels Catholic School, first grade.

Mrs Wood in third or second grade at Myrtle.

Wray Jr High, Buying Twin Banana popsicles for girls if (?) They could catch me on play field...seems I recall Betty Smith, ..

Mrs McCloud (?) for fifth grade at Central.
.Mrs Foote's class on second floor of Methodist Church satellite class of Central Middle School....Principal Howard (?)
Dick Jarman, Bill Rhyne(?) was in that class too.

We used to roller skate during recess.

Special School Memories:

Serving on Spinner Yearbook selling advertisements
Played clarinet in Ashley band, and we had some well appreciated concerts- especially at Christmas.

Oh, but do you recall, Durham School of Dancing?
The assistant instructor was Ms Kitchin ( or Kitchen).
WoW...what culture we were exposed to....And along came the "Shag"... The Viennese Waltz was a favorite. ....Kay Herring, Jenny Schneider, Nancy McClunney, Christine & Bonnie Norris, Rosalind Ratchford; Bobby Tatlock was the star male student, Jim Bumgardner, Sonny Rawlings, RB Jenkins, Dick Jarman, Bill Rhyne, George Clemmer, Ross Roberts, and so many more... Seems like everyone was there....

The boys I don't think were too keen on it at first?
My Mom made me attend, the first night I was almost in tears.

But then I got to dance with all the girls in school that ignored me!
Wasn't life grand back then?

No one enjoyed the waltz more than Jill Littlefield and I.

Since School...:

Travelled and worked throughout New Zealand for a company related to Wix Corporation in Gastonia, and Australia- Rockdale-Botany Bay, near Sydney.
Coming back to USA was big disappointment. Still maintain several friends in New Zealand. Just call me linkman for New Zealand websites.
Visited Brisbane and Koala park there.
Traveled all over Europe and London. Especially enjoyed ruins of Pompeii.

Been envolved with the Mummers of Philadelphia
as in Stringbands.
Member of Durning String Band, Bellmawr, NJ

I deserted from the "War on Poverty".... couldn't find the front battle lines...so to speak.

Getting Birthday radar signals for you...Can visualize prom event with you... my sophomore or junior year (??)

Teaching is a special rewarding adventure... having known you made a difference... ( proper for English teachers)

I recall, Wray JR High, Ms Abbot (sp?) in seventh grade (maybe 8th) She was an outstanding English teacher.. the object of and intransitive verb should be in the nominative case...

"If I were he, Things would change."
And the object of the infinitive is also in the nominative case.
"To he who is without sin cast the first stone."

And she had the best chalkboard writing/penmanship of any of my teacher's ever.

Celebrate...watch footwork by male dancer in video.

Happy Birthday, good news is they don't "stack up" on you like bills.

Memories are nice... but really everyone realizes that it's "the one who dies with most toys wins!"

Life is what you make it!

Let someone else do the baking or cooking.

Nature will comfort you when nothing else can.

If it's about politics: "Must have been a flaw in my breeding."

If it's about How you're doing: "Without "

Prepare for fun on your Birthday ....
I see you live in Myrtle Beach...
Used to go there every summer growing up, with my parents...
An uncle lived at 110 North 34th st in late sixties.

Area we stayed as a kid was south Myrtle Beach...
And the surf exposed some rocks and I found my first Sea Urchin...

Star fish too... fascinating stuff for a ten year old.

The magnificent Gavioli fairground organ The Troubadour

GB The magnificent Gavioli organ The Troubadour, The Troubadour is in my opinion the most beautiful Gavioli fairground organ in the world, the photos were taken by my father in the early eighties during a trip organized by the KDV to Belgium to visit Decap and A.Prinsen, my father and I have had a very nice day and I often think back to the day I saw this organ for the first time.
