Address: Middlesex, NC USA
Spouse/Partner: It should have happened?
Homepage: richard.rockett@gmail.com
Occupation: Purchasing and Investment Recovery consulting and Development Sales and Marketing Research: finding new uses for products, technology and materials.
Children/Grandchildren: None... cause no one ever calls on Father's Day (??)!

Well, it's slowly coming back to me now....but More…there were none...and I am unanimous in this.
Military Service: Army, Pvt. E-1
Memories Before High School (neighborhood, elementary & jr high, etc.):

Myrtle Elementary school, Central Elementary School, Wray Middle School, Grier Jr. High School
St. Michaels Catholic School, first grade.

Mrs Wood in third or second grade at Myrtle.

Wray Jr High, Buying Twin Banana popsicles for girls if (?) They could catch me on play field...seems I recall Betty Smith, ..

Mrs McCloud (?) for fifth grade at Central.
.Mrs Foote's class on second floor of Methodist Church satellite class of Central Middle School....Principal Howard (?)
Dick Jarman, Bill Rhyne(?) was in that class too.

We used to roller skate during recess.

Special School Memories:

Serving on Spinner Yearbook selling advertisements
Played clarinet in Ashley band, and we had some well appreciated concerts- especially at Christmas.

Oh, but do you recall, Durham School of Dancing?
The assistant instructor was Ms Kitchin ( or Kitchen).
WoW...what culture we were exposed to....And along came the "Shag"... The Viennese Waltz was a favorite. ....Kay Herring, Jenny Schneider, Nancy McClunney, Christine & Bonnie Norris, Rosalind Ratchford; Bobby Tatlock was the star male student, Jim Bumgardner, Sonny Rawlings, RB Jenkins, Dick Jarman, Bill Rhyne, George Clemmer, Ross Roberts, and so many more... Seems like everyone was there....

The boys I don't think were too keen on it at first?
My Mom made me attend, the first night I was almost in tears.

But then I got to dance with all the girls in school that ignored me!
Wasn't life grand back then?

No one enjoyed the waltz more than Jill Littlefield and I.

Since School...:

Travelled and worked throughout New Zealand for a company related to Wix Corporation in Gastonia, and Australia- Rockdale-Botany Bay, near Sydney.
Coming back to USA was big disappointment. Still maintain several friends in New Zealand. Just call me linkman for New Zealand websites.
Visited Brisbane and Koala park there.
Traveled all over Europe and London. Especially enjoyed ruins of Pompeii.

Been envolved with the Mummers of Philadelphia
as in Stringbands.
Member of Durning String Band, Bellmawr, NJ

I deserted from the "War on Poverty".... couldn't find the front battle lines...so to speak.

That we have the opportunity to say good bye is fortunate.

Our Class reunion website allows us this privilege.

A peaceful sound of tranquility with music helps us reflect.

Reflections of our life will never end.  As we pass to a new wave length, The music can still be heard.

Beautiful music never fades away because it expresses our inner feelings.

We instill in others by actions....

Watching is the best teacher.

We all need to be alert and cognizant !

Savoir Faire
(French- meaning the ability to know the right thing to say in any situation)

So when you go for your Vaccine shot, and they ask if you have lost your
"sense of taste" ?

You calmly reply:

"No, I dress this way all the time!"

Smile Darn You,
Smile ?

You will test your breathing with humor.

SO !

Only "19" responses....

The curve/incentive to respond would be skewed by those who
"have" received vaccine.

Get back to me when respondents reach more members...

The vaccine is made by same company that makes Viagra... so on Facebook folks figure that anyone that "can raise the dead canhelp the living!"

I was in process of composing a nice message in relation to Gary Parks and it disappeared.
Sorry, maybe I will be able to reconstruct it again.

Just know I tried to give Gary his due amount of attention.

The sound track of the movie
"The Sting" has the music to express all our feelings in life of a person we so admired..

So let ot be with Gary Parks.

Salute

The best thing we leave or have in the end is our memories.  Certainly everyone who has know Gary Parks has   I recall the Caliente  car he had. The Ashley Band concerts and contests were highlights.  But oh, the stories he could tell:  Like when at Myrtle Beach a cop stopped him, and when the officer walked up to his window he said: "I'll have two hamburgers and a milkshake !". Gees, it's hard to stifle enthusiasm !

I remember his Trumpet playing of "Buggler's Holiday".

Hope this unique film about wildlife and especially the Cheetah will be enjoyed.

The Cheetah Consrvation Fund is a very worthy
"Random Act of Kindness"

Share the intimate views of animals in their natural landscape.

In the quest of wisdom, a fundamental lesson is to recognize that no one has a monopoly on
"Stupid".

Happy Birthday ... I should think your focus is dealing with those inquisitive "Grandchildren"

Now we know they can be difficult to impress.... I have an answer for you... albeit repetition ...

Remember James Burke

"Connectiions"
and
"The Nature of Things"

It will spark their imagination and look at you in Awe ??)!

Being a "trendsetter" is so awesome and could earn you a hug.....

Humor is best.... explain what "coming thru the back door" means:

Example: Instead of ssying
"Up sh_!t creek without a paddle"

you explore: " up an acute tributary without means of locamotion",,,,,as my economics professor said once.

There was this long pause and then a laughter with astonishment!

Makes you feel warm all over.(??)

"Like the Dawning of Aquarius"

You might imagine that I have my vitamins "just right" today (??)!

What is my source of motivation(?) you ask :

"Thinking Water"

Since age 18 I found That Jacque Daniel's Thinking Water brought out my inner imagination..

Now Vitamin B-6 and Eliquis brings everything into focus.

Keep Looking up.... people will think you are onto something.

And when you get a call from "unknown caller,",
You answer in a low voice:
"I't's done, but there's Blood Everywhere !"
.....
.... What you want me to do with the Body"

Thrust me; you'll sleep better giggling.
