Memories Before High School (neighborhood, elementary & jr high, etc.):

Myrtle Elementary school, Central Elementary School, Wray Middle School, Grier Jr. High School
St. Michaels Catholic School, first grade.

Mrs Wood in third or second grade at Myrtle.

Wray Jr High, Buying Twin Banana popsicles for girls if (?) They could catch me on play field...seems I recall Betty Smith, ..

Mrs McCloud (?) for fifth grade at Central.
.Mrs Foote's class on second floor of Methodist Church satellite class of Central Middle School....Principal Howard (?)
Dick Jarman, Bill Rhyne(?) was in that class too.

We used to roller skate during recess.

Special School Memories:

Serving on Spinner Yearbook selling advertisements
Played clarinet in Ashley band, and we had some well appreciated concerts- especially at Christmas.

Oh, but do you recall, Durham School of Dancing?
The assistant instructor was Ms Kitchin ( or Kitchen).
WoW...what culture we were exposed to....And along came the "Shag"... The Viennese Waltz was a favorite. ....Kay Herring, Jenny Schneider, Nancy McClunney, Christine & Bonnie Norris, Rosalind Ratchford; Bobby Tatlock was the star male student, Jim Bumgardner, Sonny Rawlings, RB Jenkins, Dick Jarman, Bill Rhyne, George Clemmer, Ross Roberts, and so many more... Seems like everyone was there....

The boys I don't think were too keen on it at first?
My Mom made me attend, the first night I was almost in tears.

But then I got to dance with all the girls in school that ignored me!
Wasn't life grand back then?

No one enjoyed the waltz more than Jill Littlefield and I.

Since School...:

Travelled and worked throughout New Zealand for a company related to Wix Corporation in Gastonia, and Australia- Rockdale-Botany Bay, near Sydney.
Coming back to USA was big disappointment. Still maintain several friends in New Zealand. Just call me linkman for New Zealand websites.
Visited Brisbane and Koala park there.
Traveled all over Europe and London. Especially enjoyed ruins of Pompeii.

Been envolved with the Mummers of Philadelphia
as in Stringbands.
Member of Durning String Band, Bellmawr, NJ

I deserted from the "War on Poverty".... couldn't find the front battle lines...so to speak.

Happy Birthday.... Let everyday be an adventure...

The past is done we cannot change it, the future don't worry... whatever will be ;
don't worry about the present...I forgot to get you one...

Hope you can see new horizon of opportunities and options.x

Again "the road less traveled" is wiser.... social distance gives you advantage .

Greek philosopher was quoted saying "he had never met anyone returning on the road to wisdom.!"

Good music is what we remember easier

Little Richard was an icon of our generation

Imagination Rules, enthusiasm defends our intent... right or wrong... We have no problem knowing the "Real Thing" when we see it.(?)

After many music reviews... I chose this for your Birthday memory..

Nothing says Love in Music as well as "Lara's Theme" from Dr Zhivago as performed by Andre Rieu.

May you enjoy this dance.. social distance be damned !

Happy Birthday... oh what a difference a Year can make...

Alfred Hitchcock once said of what was the most exciting/suspenseful thing a person could experience ?

His reply:
" To have been shot at and missed !!"

Now Everyone can they have been shot at--- most have been missed!
