GASTONIA - Brenda Louise Falls Grimsley, 68, of 4108 Lynn Ave., was released from her long battle with cancer into the arms of her Savior on Sept. 28, 2010, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 6, 1941, in Gastonia, youngest child of the late Ervin James Falls and Gladys Mae Adair Falls whom she was welcomed by along with her brothers, Jack and Ted Falls, sister, Billie Faye Shannon and her precious grandson, David Grimsley Jr. at the gates of Heaven.

Brenda was a faithful member of Bradley Memorial United Methodist church, 1425 W. Franklin Ave, Gastonia.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Friday at Bradley Memorial UMC, Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Eric Reece.

The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.

Left to cherish her love, generous spirit and memory are: her husband and sweetheart of 48 years, Dwight Grimsley; her son and daughter in-law, David and Malina Cook Grimsley of Dallas; daughter and son in-law, Amy and Marty Cable of Gastonia; her grandchildren, Ashley, Taylor and Chase Cable, who will never forget the love and support she always showered on them; she was delighted by her two great grandsons, Jacob and Heath Grim-sley; sister, Doris Falls of Swannanoa,NC, who loved her dearly; sister in-law, Mrs. Joe Boyles "Patsy" of Gastonia; brother in-law, Larry Grimsley of Stanley; twenty one nieces and nephews and too many friends to count, who were constantly inspired by Brenda's courage, strength, unselfish spirit and faith. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to, Susan Komen Breast Foundation, Susan Komen for the Cure , Attn: Donor Services, P. O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309 would be appreciated by the family.

Arrangements are with Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia.
