Dorothy Gaddis Swink
Mrs. Swink, age 65, of Charlotte, died March 27, 2007 at Hospice and Palliative Care in Kannapolis, NC. A service to celebrate her life will be at ll:00 a.m. Saturday at McEwen Charlotte Chapel conducted by Reverends. Steve Bass and Cecil Ballard. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 Friday evening at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Northlake Memorial Gardens in Huntersville, NC. Gastonia and had continuing education as a Realtor at Mingle School of Realty and was owner and operator of Fair For All Real Estate. Mrs. Swink was formerly with Century 21 Realty, member of the NC Shell Club, member of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Realtors, and was an avid traveler and did work in genealogy. Mrs. Swink was a collector and naturalist and was a member of Sunset Road Baptist Church and had also taught Sunday School in past years.
Mrs. Swink was born January 21, 1942 in Gaston County. She was a graduate of Ashley High School in
Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Clayton C. Swink; daughter, Cara Swink of Anderson, IN; son, Timothy H. Swink of Charlotte; mother, Elizabeth Gaddis of Gastonia, NC; sisters, Nadine Hawkins and husband, John, Glenda Braddy and husband Jim, and Ann Drum and husband, Wayne, all of Gastonia, NC; and brothers, W A. Gaddis and wife, Diane of Concord, NC, and Wayne Gaddis and wife, Betty of Gastonia, NC. She was preceded in death by her father, Willard Axley Gaddis.
