FRANCES S. HELMS

MOUNT HOLLY — Martha Frances Stroupe Helms, 63, of Old Hickory Grove Road, died June 03, 2005, at her home. She was a native of Gastonia, daughter of the late Robert Sloan and Mozelle Clemmer Stroupe.

Mrs. Helms was a teller for First Citizens Bank and retired from BB&T as a teller, having served in the Mount Holly branch for the last 20 years. She was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church of Mount Holly. Mrs. Helms was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved entertaining and hosting her family and friends. She was an avid gardener.

SURVIVORS: Her husband of 18 years, David A. Helms of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Annette Walls, Lucia, Mark and Sunny Walls, Stanley; grandchildren, Tyler Walls and Marla Walls; stepchildren and spouses, Sylvia H. and Douglas Sweatman, Charlotte, Debbie H. and Frank Bolton, Greenwood, SC, Ladonn and Mike Dixon, Mount Holly; step-grandchildren and spouse, James Sweatman, Brian Sweatman, both of Atlanta, GA, Joy Butler, Hodges, SC, Frank Bolton Jr., Greenwood, SC, David Dixon, York, SC; Christopher and Katie Dixon, Mount Holly; step-great-grandchildren, Dillon Butler and Alayna Butler; stepmother, Mary S. Clark, Hendersonville; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy S. and Leonard Burton; niece and spouse, Debbie and Paul Faulkner; nephew and spouse, Chuck and Kelly Burton, all of Clover, SC; many other special family members and friends.
