                       Joyce Sisbower Rose

Ms. Rose passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at her daughter's residence in Shelby. She was a lifelong resident of Gaston County. Joyce loved to cook and bake. She also loved watching World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Joyce had two careers in her life other than raising her family. She worked for Metropolitan Life for 23 years and the Salvation Army nine years. "Blood and Fire" is the motto for the Salvation Army: the motto describes the blood of Jesus, shed on the cross to save all people, and the fire of the Holy Spirit which purifies believers.

Joyce was the daughter of the late Francis H. Sisbower and Billie Sisk Humphreys. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Jack Rose who passed away in 2006. One sister: Freida Sprouse and one brother, Henry "Buck" Humphreys.

Those left behind to cherish her beautiful memories are her daughter: Dana Rose and her daughter, Madison Brooks of Shelby and son, Rodney Rose and his children, Amy Rose, Taffi Rose and Eddie Rose of Bessemer City; four sisters: Francis Welch, Cathleen Bradley both of Gastonia, Nancy Cobb and husband Jake along with Betty Taylor both of Kings Mountain; one brother: Harry Humphreys of Gastonia; sister in law: Norma Parker, widow of the late Buck Humphreys of Bostic.
