Carol Robinson Pearson

Carol Robinson Pearson, 74, of Belmont, was called home to be with the Lord November 4, 2016 surrounded by her beloved family, after a courageous battle against cancer. 

She was a graduate of Ashley High Class of 1960. She was a lifelong member of Fairview Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir, served as Treasurer, and loved the Wednesday luncheons. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, ceramics, and cooking. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her father G.K. Robinson.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her mother, Margaret Robinson of Gastonia; her devoted husband of 50 years, Jerry Don Pearson; sons, Tracy R. Pearson and wife Robin, Clint W. Pearson and wife Lisa; daughter, Donna Pearson and fiancé Lyle Moose, all of Gastonia; six grandchildren, Brandi Owens, Amber Pearson, Tyler Owens, Erica Pearson, Joseph Morgan, Caroline Pearson; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley, Gavin, Katelynn, Tyler, Jr., Molly, Ryan and Corbin; brothers, Jerry Robinson of Charlotte, Ted Robinson of Gastonia, Danny Robinson of Clover, Jeffrey Robinson of Gastonia, and Jeremy Robinson of Belmont; sisters, Patty Penley of Clover, Sharon Lawson of Waco and Teresa Purkey of Gastonia.

Her family will receive friends on Monday, November 7, 2016 at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia from 6:00-8:00 pm. A funeral to celebrate her life will be Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Ballard officiating. A burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church, 1706 W Davidson Ave, Gastonia, NC 28052.

Jerry, my prayers are with you and your extensive family. I know they will hold you in love and support you during this grieving time, no matter how long it is. It is all too soon for Carol to die. I so hope you will cherish each and every year you had her as your loving wife.
