GASTONIA - Phyllis Boyd Huffstetler, 68, passed away Aug. 27, 2010, at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia.
She was born Sept. 13, 1941, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Oscar Sylvanus and Susie Bell Boyd.
Phyllis was a member of Crowders Creek ARP Church, Gastonia.
A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday at Crowders Creek ARP Church, Gastonia, officiated by the Revs. Ben Wingard and Charles Evans.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
She is survived by: daughter, Cheryl Sweeten; brother, William Boyd; sister and brother in-law, Anne and Lee Roach; grandchild, Rebecca Sweeten; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Hawkins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crowders Creek ARP Church, 207 Crowders Creek Church Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
