Conrad, III (Trei) (1972) Granddaughter - Lauren Nicole Conrad (1990) Birthday:    January 3, 1942 Memories Before High School (neighborhood, elementary & jr high, etc.):    Going to PreSchool at Mrs. Severance on 2nd Ave; then 1st grade at St. Michaels with Sister Marie Andre'; 2nd & 3rd grades at Central; then to North for 4th-6th. Mr. Miller was the Principal and Miss Jones was my 5th grade teacher. Arlington Jr. Hi was next with Becky Blalock,Jane Howe, Anne Rednour, Jane Sparks, David Stewart, RB Jenkins, Paul Childress and many more good friends. Mr. John Golf was Principal. Special School Memories:    Being crowned Queen of Arlington Jr. Hi in the 9th grade, actually the person who raised the most money won, so it was a money making project for the school. Singing "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles" in 9 th grade talent show. Meeting Roland, my sweetie, @ the Spindale City Fair @ Gaston County Fairgrounds, not realizing one day I would marry him. President of FBLA senior yr. at Ashley Hi and going to Raleigh for FBLA convention, where I was to deliever a speech. Toured RJ Reynolds tobacco in the afternoon and they gave each one a 3pack of cigarettes. Thought I would be big and learn how to inhale, MISTAKE. Sick as a dog and never started smoking due to that sickness. Singing in the chorus at Ashley Hi. By the way, that senior picture makes me look old. I am much younger now.. Since School...:    Married sweetheart Roland and moved to California during Roland's service in the Navy Seabees. Moved back to Gastonia, then Rutherford Cnty. Enjoyed being housewife and taking care of our 2 children. Opened our business in 1980, The Body Shoppe,(not a car shop-human body). Bought 2nd home in N. Myrtle Beach, where Roland & I enjoy getting away for some down time and to de-stress. With the Grace of God, we have endured and grown with wisdom and knowledge through the years.
