I the summer of 1959 Jay Glenn invited Chip Brunemmer and I to spend a week with him and his parent, Drs. Charlie and Dorothy Glenn. at Myrtle Beach. They had rented a house near the Ocean Forest Hotel. We left DD Rocket's ESSO station at 6 AM Sunday morning and at 8:30 we were having breakfast with the Glenns in Myrtle Beach.

Being manager of the football team my sophmore year; Trips to the beach with the Boys Club; Drag racing on Franklin Ave.

Attended Clemson University one year rooming with George Rawlings.
Worked in the textile machinery business starting in engineering and R&D and finished selling dyeing machines. Listed as co-inventor on 3 patents while working for Gaston County Dyeing Machine Co. Traveled from coast to coast and border to border. Still love to travel.
Retired in 2004 and went to work part time for Adesa- Charlotte working at the auto auction, picking up and delivering cars and running an auction lane on sale day. In 2006 in addition to Adesa I went to work part time for Charlotte Truck Center picking up and delivering new Freightliner trucks and also used trucks. This job has taken me to places I have never seen before.
This year I served as an expert witness in a law suit in federal court. A local used textile machinery dealer was suing his insurance company for some stolen dyeing machinery. Because of my appraisal the case was settled the day before it was to be tried in Columbia. In 2019 I was elected to serve a three year term on the session at John C. Robinson Memorial Presbyterian Church. Now serving my third 3 year term. Moderator of Golden Iron Car Club for 5 years
