Attended Gardner Webb and Appalachian State. Married Tom Dodgen 8/1963. Worked
7 1/2 yrs. for First Union National Bank as a
teller and CSR. Retired from 22 1/2 yrs. in federal government service for USDA, Poultry Division in Gastonia, NC and DHHS, PHS,
CDC, Fin. Mgmt. in Cincinnati, OH. Tom and I
moved to Cincinnati in 1989 and were partners in a decorating shop for over 10 yrs. We sold our business and returned to Gastonia in 2002 after I had to take early disability retirement due to severe back problems, and to help take care of Tom's mother who was having health problems. I continued my seasonal employment with H&R Block Tax Service, ready to start my 20th yr.
