Due to my step-father's job, all my elementary years were in many different schools (eleven to be exact), until we were transferred to Gastonia. There, I entered Grier Jr. High, and on to Ashley. The longest we stayed in one place. The years at Ashley were the best years of my school history.

Twenty years as military wife, mother of four sons, working as secretary for College of the Albermarle. Owned and operated a health spa in Kill Devil Hills until we moved to Oak Island, NC.

Upon Joe's retirement, we started our own construction company, and after 20 years in the Military and 31 years in construction, we have retired, and our sons are now running the "shop".

We have a home in Southport, NC, where we enjoy
fishing, boating, water skiing (not me), just playing
on the beach, and also a treasured vacation spot in Maggie Valley, NC. Here, Joe enjoys snow skiing.........(not me again - In case you have forgotten, I'm not really stupid!!!) I read and take pictures of the family rolling down the mountain. The next thing they enjoy is white water rafting, and ok, this year I may try this. I've figured out when (and how) to get in the raft and when to get out before the rapids. Will let you know if I indeed follow through! Never happened!!

Our "golden retirement years" was about to come to come to an end. My sweet love was diagnosed with Mild Dementia, so we went out and bought a RV and started having a fun life on the road.
