Ken married Sandra (Sunny) Leigh Young (class of '62) in November 1963.
Ken worked at the Freightliner Parts Mfg. Plant in Gastonia and was just 2 weeks away from retiring.
He loved sports and was an avid softball player, playing in the industrial leagues and church leagues in Gaston County. He was written about in the Gaston Gazette for being one of the few people to ever pitch a "no-hitter" in softball.
