I remember Marcene as a really beautiful girl who was a lot of fun.  I remember seeing her unexpectedly at an airport when I was in service and she was on her way to Germany, I believe, and we got to share a little time. Life; it can seem so strange as we go through the stages.  Live it to the fullest.  Jake (J.E.)

Marcene and I bantered oiur way through three Homerooms, especially in the 11th grade when we were assigned to the same "Table" for the entire year.  Carol Atchley was Marcene's best friend in 12th grade and I certainly appreciate Jack Black's beautiful tribute.  Marcene was married in high school and was a couple of years older than the rest of us.  She never attended one of our Reunions and I always regretted that.  Although she never did anything to draw attention to herself, Marcene offered the one thing that this world could use a lot of---LOVE.

Like Mickey, I was in homeroom with Marcene for the duration.  I remember her as a quiet and friendly girl who didn't realize how beautiful she was.  She was married, but I didn't know she was two years older than me.  Again, like Mickey, I have wished that she would join us at our reunions.  I sincerely hope she led a happy life because she certainly deserved it.  Rest in peace Marcene.  With love, Chip
