Happy birthday a day late as usual and more'n a dollar shirt as usual. I sincerely hope you had a nice relaxing day doing whatever you wished. You are certainly among a very select group of my favorite lady classmates. Say hey to Frank and I'm sorry I couldn't spend a little more time with y'all at our reunion. If we ever have another one, I hopd we will be given more time to mingle and maybe a little less handing our prizes and praying. Praying is a mighty good thing to do so I'm going to pray for more time with friends. As always, I wish you and Frank the very best of everything. I am currently at my quiet place in Hayesville.

Happy Birthday again Chipper! I hope you’re having a great Special Day! Hope
the weather in Raleigh is good and you can get out. I would suggest that you go over to the NC State campus and enjoy the academic atmosphere. Ha!

Chipper, I’ve often wondered how you got taller than me, how you always have a smile and have a positive attitude and don’t complain about your aches & pains, etc.
I think I may have the answer: you’re 31 days younger than me which allows you to tell others (that don’t know the truth) that you’re only 80 and Moon is 81 years old! You just wait old buddy, someday soon you’ll catch up to me! Then everything will change like it has for me (if you’re lucky)! Ha! I Love Life and you too!

I regret that I will be unable to participate in this reunion. It will be the first one I have missed. I am well, but Linda is not and I can't leave her by herself. Her issues are related to a recent shoulder replacement surgery and continuing back issues that came about as the result of a really bad fall in 2019. I will really miss seeing all of you. I love you all, and yes, even the guys. We'll call it avuncular love. I know some of the guys will have to look that up.
What an absolutely wonderful obituary! Reading this wonderfully expressed tribute to Gayle would convince anyone that she was a women who loved mightily and was loved in the same way. Rest in peace sweet lady.
Just received the sad news about our friend and classmate, Nick Mentavlos. Nick has always been such a nice and gentle person. It's hard to visualize him as a rough and tough Secret Service agent protecting the life of George H.W. Bush. I am so saddened by this news and wish all his family the strength they need to deal with his condition.

Thanks Rev. Blackwell for another inspirational message. It is far easier to be kind than not, and the rewards are great. So simple a message but powerful in practice.

Thank you to all my wonderful classmates who sent me birthday wishes, and to those who didn't too. You are all special. I don't feel any different at 80 than I did yesterday, except maybe a little more loved and that's a really good feeling. I genuinely love all my high school classmates, and yes, that includes YOU too. It's been a privilege to be one of you.
