Since School...:
College, US Navy (Air), College, Bell Telephone Labs, Western Electric, Electro Scientific Industries, Tektronix and in business (Computer: Servers, PCs, Software & sustaining support) since July 1988.....Spent a year playing in college, joined the Navy... saw lots of water at 50 to 10,000 feet, from the maritime provinces of Canada to South America to as far east as Lebanon (snooping).... Married August 1965 in Bangor, Maine. After service Carol and I graduated from Gaston Tech, hired by Bell telephone Labs in North Andover, MA. I graduated in engineering from Merrimac College. Moved with family (2 kids) & car to Portland in 1974 for position with Electro Scientific Industries, esi, for 10 years. Then 5 years with Tektronix, worked on my MBA and in 1988 formed Furber Enterprises,LLC dba Specialized Computer Services, SCS; Furber Computer Solutions, FCS, formed in 2000. Carol died with cancer in 1993 (never met any of the grandchildren). Married Jane same year (we had known each other since 1976 from church); she brought her two girls. All our kids are college educated; Jane's two girls Andi lives in in Portland area, Hilary Ann is currently in Boolaroo, Australia; my daughter is in Salem, OR. My son has lived in Damascus, Syria; Cairo, Egypt; Aba Dubai, United Arab Emirate and now in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; he is a linguistic professional; written and translated many books and has lectured in several places in the world. Steven and his two youngest children are pursuing degrees; Steven seeking his PHD in Religion
