I was shocked to hear about Alan's passing. What a great friend he was. I remember going to Alan's house when we got out of school because of snow and having a great party. Also remember fun times together with the boys club.
My sympathy goes out to his family.

Sorry to hear of Alan's passing. Alan was a good friend, we "shared" locker space and pin-ups all through high school. He and his laughter will be missed by all.
Alan and I roomed together in Chapel Hill for a semester and summer school in 1962. Henry Thomasson and I visited him when he lived in New York city. He was a good dancer; a talented shagger; he spent many summer nights dancing at The Pad in Chapel Hill.
I am so thankful that I called him 3-4 weeks ago. We talked about the tough medical challenges he had dealt with over the last few months. We also agreed we would get together soon.
May he rest in peace; he left us too early in life.
